So I went back and got another degree on the production side of Radio and Television, and I was working at a radio station, doing radio documentaries — just kind of figuring it out. I was approached by Much Music in Canada, which is like MTV, I guess, down here. I had never thought of hosting, but a really good friend of mine said, “This is the most empowered platform to speak to young people about the issues that you care about, which is why you’re in this in the first place.” So I was like, “Yeah, no, it makes perfect sense.” And so that’s what I started doing. I took the job and started presenting.
